Review:
I remember fondly, was Henry Fonda and Raymond Massey as Lincoln in Mr.Lincoln Young Abe Lincoln in Illinois and impressive performances. But, here and now in the extraordinary Steven Spielberg / version of Tony Kushner, the illusion is complete. I was watching the president and never for a moment thought the actor. That is almost unique in itself. I left the theater with the feeling I had on just body experience. Around the central performance - and call it a performance because I do not know what else to call it - in a way that falls miraculous. The photography, production design, costumes actually smell the period allowed. Congratulations and thank you.
