Review:
With 300, Zack Snyder had the problem that is not enough meat on the bone - Frank Miller's graphic novel is short and violent in-your-face, the Director offset by spending nearly all of its running time two hours Snyder moving super slow. In this case, the problem that is to the opposite: Alan Moores impossible to film, very complex, very deep graphic novel seems too thick for any director to take by the horns and have th success. Hell, even Moore himself believes it is well - so that drove the film entirely.Here, Snyder has two audiences: those familiar and those that arent. If it is the latter, Watchmen is a masterpiece of literature, tells the story of a group of Avengers to hide as prohibited live alone and empty lives. Each of them, full of complex off-screen, expressed in the stories to life on screen acting by some of the most heart I've seen in a long time (except maybe the latex Malin Ackerman took Silk Spectre II), especially Billy Crudup plays nothing, often naked (and well endowed) demigod hero usually superpowers.Although real star of the show is Rorschach himself. While mask is again the majority of the film, Jackie Earle Haley beyond perfect for the role. However, for 300 Watchmen seems like Mary Poppins - this has to be one of the most violent films I've ever seen. All the action sequences of books there, only? more. Rougher. Damn. And for some reason decided to give Snyder a scene about 3 minutes cringy, cheesy set to Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah at the heart of the film. Sure, the book was, but shorter, and the soundtrack is certainly not poncy.However this mean? discrepancy? The only complaint (and this is a very small complaint) I have with the film. It's hard to see in places - the rape scene, a pregnant woman was killed there - and kicks to the other fibers of the heart (Doctor Manhattan backdrop certainly (almost) ALL leads tears to me). The book is mostly complex, deep and meaningful, and transferred to the screen, a lot of that is not lost in translation. But what we have is incredible artistic epic fast-moving action. Snyder has directed two public believe that polar and comes free with the modification that the writer Alan Moore even be proud of.
