Review:
To separate continuation Favorite Connecticut 2: Ghosts Georgia could be much worse. The film had some strange visual effects, some old-fashioned concern and quite polite negotiation and proper atmosphere to fit into the mold. I think the name should only ghosts Georgia as the film has nothing to do with the first movie and not based in Connecticut, it seems clear that cash grab decision. This new story is specifically based on actual events Wyrick family and even made for television. Reenactment film titled Haunting in Georgia, which I havent seen before, but now Im interested. Back-story, why it happens, psychic disorders are addressed not hitting hard and was effective. Story / script has a few shortcomings and omissions that have the film back and it was real or believable. The performances were decent, but not great. Abigail Spencer plays Lisa Wyrick, mother and wife who are fighting passed the gift to see and speak with the dead, her sister and daughter also seems to assume that this gift. Abigail was the highlight of a lackluster horror and carries the most weight but the script and the limits of its power. Chad Michael Murray plays Andy Wyrick father and provides performance rather bland and not much of parts. Katee Sackhoff Battlestar Galactica fame playing Lisa's sister, Joyce Wyrick, who also has the gift of seeing the dead. Katee gives a lively performance, but Chads had a lot of character on their part, even if it is one of the more memorable moments in the film, which include topics relying needle from his mouth. Emily Alyn Lind plays Heidi Wyrick's daughter Lisa Wyrick, which begins to show signs of contact with the dead. It is surprising, as it plays a key role in the film. All in all the performances were good, but the script lacked depth and charisma.Director, Tom Elkins, who is also editor of the first film, and editor of several other ch horror movies, especially better sequel White Noise, White Noise 2: The Light. Tom looks like a talented editor, but as a first time director has some learning to do as horror looks like it should be on ABC Family. It was just a way to hear the film and its subject should be stronger. Writer David Coggeshall just written for television programs, particularly short series Watch Over Me. Elements of a good ghost story is there, because the real story aspect of the film, but David Coggeshall put it to good use and create something uninspired and vague.Overall, forget the beginning of the movie title and just go with the spirits of Georgia, because it's not a sequel Attend in Connecticut, it is quite another story. It was a nice closing credits to see a picture of a real family, which is based on this film. Their true story is probably more interesting and scarier than the actual movie is shown. The film had little moments of creepiness and intrígs grotesque images, but the pacing was slow, scare was free for the most part, not used back story and the most unoriginal thing. Useless and pointless sequel that is not really a sequel.
