Review:
Probably one of the best horror comedies of all time is Edgar Wrights Shaun of the Dead, and since its release in 04, a good number of wannabes. Based on the trailers for Zombieland, however, thought that it had some low potential to match Shaun in terms of quality, perhaps even appropriated. After seeing the film, I'm happy to say that not only that.Unlike Zombieland many comedies in recent history, which many must have been provided by the trailer, Zombieland is filled to the brim with laugh-out-time great, thanks largely to brilliant cast. Eisenberg is fantastic as the main protagonist, Columbus, representing the feelings of vulnerability and natural, without being too Michael Cera-like. Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are also strong as sweet, but hard Wichita and more-mature-than-he-seems Little Rock, respectively. actual performance stand out, however, is Woody Harrelson as twinkie-Lovin, Tallahassee zombie hatin. And that of Woody Boyd on Cheers and Frasier, this is definitely the best performance of his career. There is also a brief appearance on the hilarious pain mid-way through the film, which would be a crime trophy. Suffice it to say, this is? hands down? the best that Ive seen film.The cameo surprising aspect of Zombieland, for me, is how much heart there. All characters are warm and alive, and what drama there is to get felt quite strongly. Finally, to feel invested in the story and characters who? I? The most important thing in any movie in any genre can do.Zombieland has immediately become a favorite of mine Horror (comic or otherwise). ? for lack of a better word? quotable dialogue, sound hysterical series, and endearing characters, all come together to create a film that will undoubtedly be a cult classic.
